Circulating Nurse - CVOR

Position Overview

This position involves working in a cardiovascular operating room setting with a focus on patient care and surgical support. The role requires a collaborative spirit and the ability to adapt to the dynamic environment of a surgical unit.

Unit Information
  • Number of Beds: 12 suite OR, 2 CVORs
  • Staffing: 4 RNs and 4 CSTs on Day Shift
  • Patient Ratios: 1:1
  • Type of Equipment: EMR, Meditech
Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgical procedures.
  • Assist with a variety of surgical procedures, including CABG and valve replacements.
  • Work collaboratively with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain patient safety and comfort before, during, and after surgery.
  • Document patient care activities in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Qualifications
  • Must have:
    • 5+ years of CVOR experience.
    • Experience in the Main OR setting and willingness to float as needed.
  • Preferred:
    • Experience as a scrub nurse is desirable.
    • Familiarity with Meditech is a plus.
