Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) for a contract position.
The ideal candidate has great communication skills, can remove roadblocks, detail oriented, and has a knack for breaking things and filing great bugs.
QAE's regularly work with Developers, Product Managers and other Quality Engineers to ensure the proper operation of the production environment.
During the development cycle, QAEs identify use cases, create test cases, execute tests, and report results.

QUALIFICATIONS

BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience 4+ years industry experience testing software, including website applications.

Experience with HTML, JavaScript, Java and SQL is desired, but not required.
Experience with Python required
Proficiency working in a Linux/Unix environment.
Experience with QA process and Software Development Life Cycle.
Testing satellite components so must have experience working with hardware, embedded devices.

Working most directly with own internal team, not much cross teams.
Most folks being worked with our within the building.
Primary task is have a nightly automation run.
Analyse results, see how things fail and find bugs.
Have to get the manual work off the team so the other team members can handle the automation.
Will be some training. Linux background is ideal.
Someone who has the ability to go through log fails/go through failures.
Very close team, very friendly. Highly collaborative.

Candidate Requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS
