POSITION SUMMARY

Work with Environmental Technicians to apply the principles and theories of electronics to setup, analyze and solve technical environmental problems with semiconductor components and related automated or bench equipment. Perform debug of complex device and environmental equipment, compile engineering data and report results. Resolve real-time electronic component production environmental problems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE

  • Work with environmental scheduling to perform setups for Burn-in, HAST, TH, Reflow and other chamber for production lot runs.
  • Operate Burn-in, HAST, TH, Reflow and other chambers from various manufacturers such as AEHR, Espec, Heller and others.
  • Debug and repair setups that have issues or have failed setups.
  • Collect, store and help evaluate data generated during environmental processing.
  • Maintain the environmental lab and environmental production area to keep it clean and orderly.
  • Utilize knowledge of device electrical bias techniques and board designs to actively and dynamically operate devices in oven environments.
  • Contribute to design and fabrication of control apparatus, boards, and other equipment.
  • Work with environmental engineers to help with development.
  • Follow Quality Documentation Manual procedures to operate chambers and other equipment.
  • Flexibility to perform other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE

Education: An Associate’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field preferred; however, a combination of education and experience wherein the skills and abilities to perform the responsibilities and functions have been adequately demonstrated is acceptable.

Experience: Prior experience in the semiconductor industry is helpful but not required.

  • Effectively and efficiently utilize Microsoft Office and other computer products and programs.
  • Utilize effective communication skills with internal teams to achieve required results.
  • Anticipate and resolve complex, non-routine problems.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical manuals, operating procedures, and maintenance instructions.
  • Ability to use time management skills to handle multiple priorities in a timely manner.
