Prepress Print Operator

Thomas Printworks is searching for a talented individual to work in our Prepress Printing team. The successful candidate will be a multitasker and possess the ability to provide exceptional customer service This is a Prepress position based out of our Addison, TX location.

Duties include:

• Receive incoming electronic art files
• Preflight, determining reproduction viability
• Troubleshoot and edit PDF files
• Advise Customer Service Representatives of discrepancies and possible solutions
• Prepare PDF and other file types for digital print production
• Inspect post-RIP PDF files to ensure reproduction viability and proof-matching
• Operate small format document digital printers
• Operator large format digital printers
• Operate large format cutters
• Interface as needed with customer service and sales staff
• Ensure the work area is clean, organized, and safe

Qualifications and Skills:

• Knowledge of Offset and Digital Color reproduction processes from preflight through digital file production
• Working knowledge of Electronic Prepress applications, including Adobe Creative Cloud Apps, other apps for creating PDFs, and Microsoft Office

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent GED
• Basic math and problem-solving skills
• High-level Quality Control skills
• Experience in the print industry
• Attention to detail
