Job Summary:The Senior Credit Analyst plays a crucial role in our financial team, responsible for leading the analysis and interpretation of financial data to assess credit risk, make recommendations on lending, and develop credit approval criteria. This position requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in finance and a proven track record in credit analysis.
Responsibilities:- Lead the evaluation of client financial information to determine risk levels associated with extending credit.
- Develop and implement complex financial models to forecast trends and assess risk.
- Mentor and guide junior credit analysts, improving team skills and performance.
- Provide detailed credit reports and present findings to senior management to aid in making informed lending decisions.
- Conduct thorough market research to understand industry trends and their impacts on credit policies.
- Collaborate with risk management teams to refine credit policies and risk strategies.
- Manage and prioritize a portfolio of credit reviews, ensuring compliance with internal standards and financial regulations.
- Innovate and improve processes for credit analysis based on current economic conditions.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- At least 2-7 years of experience in a credit analysis role, with demonstrated progression in responsibility.
- Advanced knowledge of financial forecasting, risk management practices, and market analysis.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in statistical analysis and financial forecasting tools.
- Exceptional leadership skills and experience in a supervisory role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey complex information.
- Proficient with financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
