The right candidate will have logistics as a large part of their skill set. Preferably in a manufacturing setting.
About the role
Oversee process of planning and controlling the flow of goods in and out the warehouse.
Responsibilities
- Support company's goals of quality, safety, productivity, and customer service.
- Work closely with Materials Analysts and Dock Coordinators to manage pipeline.
- Ensure the timely arrival and departure of scheduled materials.
- Manage reporting of Carrier metrics to ensure on time deliveries
- Work with Carriers directly regarding claims and demurrage charges
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in related field or equivalent preferred but not required ? Two to four years related experience or equivalent.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Must be proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project)
- Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
Preferred Skills
- Bilingual.
- Inventory background.
- Supply Chain experience.
- Knowledgeable of warehouse management systems.
