Job Description

We are seeking a Media Broadcast Engineering Intern to join our dynamic Sportsnet Pittsburgh team and contribute to help aid in the end-to-end production process. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of production while working closely with industry professionals. The ideal candidate will have a passion for system integration, networking, audio/video, post-production, and have an idea for many of the aspects of content creation.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in all stages of production, from conception to completion, with a focus on improving and redefining processes.
  • Support studio engineers with pre/post-game productions
  • Operate in a high-stress environment with multiple team members, demonstrating excellent self-awareness and people skills.

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a degree or recent graduate in communications, computer science or related field, film and digital media, audio engineering, broadcast, or related fields.
  • Strong interest and passion for production and the technical process to help aid production teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a team setting.
  • Previous experience or coursework in production, audio engineering, or related fields is a plus.
  • Strong Computer skills with regards to Google Docs, Microsoft Office is a plus
  • Understanding of signal flow drawings, CAD skills and basic knowledge of IP infrastructure and networking is a plus
