Job Description

Our company is searching for an experienced, reliable, and task-oriented Administrative Assistant/Accounting Clerk. In this position you will work together with the company's top management executives and office manager. You will be responsible for performing a number of administrative and accounting duties.

Our ideal candidate is highly self-motivated, detail-oriented, professional team player, and capable of managing their workload and prioritizing tasks. This person will be working together with our Office Manager. As we grow as a company, this role may evolve over time with opportunity for growth. We are looking for a stable individual wanting a long-term opportunity to become a valuable part of our stable and accomplished organization.

 

Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Speaking with our regular customers over the phone to take orders, receiving incoming calls, troubleshoot issues, and communicate important details
  • Daily, weekly, and monthly accounting functions along bank reconciliations
  • Placing orders and communicating with our vendors, purchasing inventory
  • Receiving inventory, payments and other daily miscellaneous accounting tasks
  • Processing A/P, A/R, invoices and payroll.
  • ACH payments to vendors, confirmation of prices and freight
  • Build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Assisting with sales and marketing activities, when needed.

Skills Required:

  • Knowledge and experience of Quickbooks and Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills and a true team player
  • Attention to detail, with critical thinking skills
  • Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Bilingual Spanish language skills a strongly preferred
  • Adobe Illustrator experience also a plus, but not necessary
  • Food or product distribution industry strongly preferred but not mandatory
  • Manufacturing background a plus
