Summary

The Wyckoff Reformed Church Nursery School, a Grow NJ KIds 4 Star rated school, is hiring for September!

Become a part of the WRCNS family! We are looking for a part-time Lead Co-Teacher for our toddler class, children aged 2-3.

Responsibilities include: utilizing the Creative Curriculum to foster curiosity, self-motivation and thinking. Our play based program helps nurture the whole child with a focus on social-emotional development, confidence and learning through exploring and experiencing the world.

Duties

Teach the prescribed curriculum, The Creative Curriculum
Prepare written lesson plans using the prescribed format
Prepare materials, learning areas and activities
Establish appropriate room arrangement and learning centers according to the curriculum and the ECERS
Utilize the prescribed performance-based assessment (GOLD) to track the developmental progress of each child. Results should be used to inform curriculum planning and instruction
Coordinate all planning and evaluation with your Co-Teacher

Implement and reinforce the school wide behavior management strategies utilized by the staff of the WRC Nursery School
Participate in and actively contribute to all nursery school meetings, activities and goals
Form a professional partnership with parents through daily interactions
Model positive social development in children by encouraging independence and cooperation with others through good decision-making
Maintain professional attitude in demeanor, dress and confidentiality of students and staff

Requirements

Teacher certification or CDA preferred (must be willing to obtain CDA if you do not have one)
10 month position (Sept - June), M-F 8:30am - 1pm, start time may vary
10+ additional afternoon hours available
Five weeks of Summer Camp hours will be available,
Complete paid training and staff development over the summer at your own time and pace.
CPR Certification needed
