POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline is required.
• Four (4) years of related experience in a manufacturing organization is required.

EDUCATION

• Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Defines and controls the process of injection molding presses.
• Develops written procedures and process books to ensure goods are produced to specifications.
• Troubleshoots and corrects machine malfunctions and quality issues.
• Trains process leads and operators on proper machine operations.
• Communicates with vendors to ensure all machine parts and other orders are processed in a timely manner.
• Qualifies new lines and ensures start-up lines are operating within specifications.
• Qualifies new tooling to ensure meets all dimensions and performance characteristics.
• Helps schedules and ensures preventative maintenance is performed on all machines assigned to the department.
• Coordinates continuous improvement projects.
• Approves vacation for process leads and ensures coverage is adequate for production levels.
• Effectively communicates with all internal departments and external customers.
• Ensures work areas are clean and general housekeeping duties are performed.
