Accounts Receivable Clerk

Job Brief:

The Accounts Receivable Clerk will provide financial, administrative, and clerical support to the accounting department. This role processes and monitors incoming payments and verifies and posts receipts to secure revenue.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Verifies and enters payment and revenue transactions.
• Maintains receivables and records of invoices, debits, and credits by verifying, classifying, computing, and posting.
• Verifies, investigates, and resolves account discrepancies, including invalid or unauthorized deductions.
• Resolves collections by examining customer payment plans, payment history, credit line, and applies proper internal procedures.
• Summarizes receivables, coordinates monthly transfer to receivable account, verifies totals, and prepares reports.
• Completes daily bank deposits.
• Compiles weekly/monthly reporting of receivables.
• Monitors and follows up on aged receivables accounts.
• Responds to and resolves customers’ billing issues and questions.
• Participation/compliance with company safety programs & company policies.
• Other duties as required.
