Role & Responsibility:

Tasks That Will Lead To Your Success

Trains and assist in the preparation and analysis of complex accounting reports and financial statements related to accounts.
Verifies and reconciles general ledger accounts. Analyzes inter-agency charges, revolving funds, and working capital funds. Determines cost applicable to each entry and makes necessary journal entries. Resolves bookkeeping errors.
Records assessment changes on the tax rolls and computes changes in taxes due.
Assists with closing procedures and other year end operations. Assists with the pre-auditing of accounts, ledgers, journals, and other accounting records. Assists in preparing detailed statistical reports and analyses.
Assists in special accounting, financials, and procedural studies.
May lead or supervise accounting clerical personnel.
Performs other related duties as required.

Skills & Experience:

Qualifications That Will Help You Thrive

Bachelors degree in accounting; or graduation from and accredited college or university.
A.A degree in accounting plus 2 years’ experience in accounting, auditing or bookkeeping.
Possession of an accounting certificate from and accredited college or university plus 3 years of experience in accounting, auditing, or bookkeeping.
Knowledge of accounting, cost accounting, and auditing theory, principles, practices, and procedures. Knowledge of automated accounting systems, Knowledge of governmental budgeting and accounting.
Ability to maintain complex accounting records.
Ability to analyze accounts, ledgers, journals, and other accounting records and statements.
