Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Collect, track trends, and communicate production quality data and performance metrics to management accordingly.

2. Work with engineering and production to improve efficiency in daily operations while maintaining high-quality products.

3. Assist Quality Manager in maintaining AS9100 QMS system and participate in AS/NADCAP/Customer audits as needed.

4. Conduct quality inspections using a CMM system for machined and assembled parts (act as back-up to CMM Technician).

5. Provide technical support for CMM (programming) as needed.

6. Maintain the calibration system as directed by the Quality Manager.

7. Assist Quality Manager in maintaining and assigning nonconformance reports (NCRs) and corrective action/preventative actions (CAPAs) to appropriate personnel and ensure closure in a timely manner.

8. Perform First Article Inspections per the company QMS requirements.

9. Manage final inspections following the company’s established procedures.

10. Create and/or revise quality documentation, submitting final versions to the Quality Manager or designee for approval (i.e., policies, procedures, operating instructions, work instructions, form templates, etc.).

11. Support and complete additional projects and tasks as assigned by the Quality Manager.

12. Follow all AS9100, internal quality policies, OSHA safety regulations, and company safety policies.

Job Requirements:

1. U.S. citizenship or permanent resident required (sponsorship will not be provided for this position).

2. bachelor’s degree in engineering required (Mechanical Engineering is preferred). Experience in lieu of a degree will also be considered.

3. Minimum of 5 years’ experience of CNC Operation and Set-Up on 3, 4, and 5-axis machines required. Experience with Mazatrol, G code, MasterCam, CNC Milling, and Mori Seiki lathes is highly desirable. Experience in a CNC shop in aerospace industry preferred.

4. Must have strong math, computer, and communication skills (verbal and written).

5. Must be detail-oriented, reliable and be a positive member of the quality team.

6. Excellent problem-solving skills.

7. Experience with 3-D CAD system is required (preferred SolidWorks).

8. Experience using Microsoft suite of products, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, and Outlook. Experience using an ERP system is preferred.

9. Strong mechanical aptitude desired.

10. Experience reading detailed blueprints, including GD&T, and working with CMM, micrometers, calipers, and other precision inspection detail tools is required.

11. All employment at IBC is conditional upon results from background and drug testing.
