Diesel Mechanic

The Mobile Services tech takes ownership for:

Responsibilities/Job Duties:

• Trustworthy, honest, ethical, hardworking, dedicated to work and family.
• Works with customer to understand the issue with their vehicle, determine what is needed to fix the vehicle and develops a method for repairing it.
• Outstanding customer service and clear communication.
• Ability to use diagnostic scan tool and accurately assess results.
• Perform DOT state inspections and certifications.
• Know when to and when not to put a truck out of service.
• Drive additional repair work into the shop.
• Ability to work productively and efficiently without supervision.
• Respectful of other people, staff, customers, and managers.
• Attention to detail. Takes the extra step.
• Performs repairs within Company Standards which is above Industry Standards.
• Ensure data entry in QuickBooks Time is accurate, complete, and in real-time.
• High work ethic.
• Willingness to learn.
• Reports for work and stays on the job 8 hours per day unless emergency arises which requires additional duty.
• Displays tolerance necessary for working with energetic customers and staff.
• Accepts criticism of job performance.

Physical Requirements:

• BODY POSITIONS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for prolonged periods of time.
• BODY MOVEMENTS: The employee must have a full range of body movements including the use of his/her hands to finger, handle, and feel objects such as glazing products and equipment. The ability to bend the body, to reach for objects, and to stoop, kneel, or crouch, crawl, climb or balance when needed are also required.
• BODY SENSES: Vision requirements must be sufficient to shift in focus from computer screens to close forms. Exhaust vapor smells frequently occur.
• STRENGTH: The employee must have the ability to lift up to 75 – 150 pounds on occasion.
