Job Summary:
Ground Works Land Design is seeking an experienced Concrete Technician / Foreman to become part of our growing company. This role requires advanced skills in concrete work along with supervisory functions. The candidate will be a skilled technician, who can support the Concrete Foreman and Project Manager in maintaining client properties and projects. Pay: $22.00 - $40+ per hour contingent on experience

Duties/Responsibilities
- Pouring and finishing of flat work, footings and wall work
- Mix and pour concrete
- Setting forms and tying rebar
- Address customer concerns as they arise and communication with clients upon completion of work
- Proficiently operate a variety of landscaping and construction equipment
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, work site and equipment
- Complete all production related digital timesheets
- Positively promote company culture
- Read and interpret blueprints/drawings
Qualifications/Requirements
- Proficiency in mixing concrete to precise specifications, including knowledge of various concrete mixes, additives, and aggregates
- Experience with excavation, grading and demo work
- Skilled in the setup and removal of formwork, ensuring proper alignment and dimensions for concrete pours
- Expertise in pouring concrete and finishing it to the desired surface texture and appearance, whether smooth, stamped, exposed aggregate, or polished
- Ability to conduct tests on concrete samples to ensure quality and adherence to standards such as compressive strength, slump, and air content
- Ability to troubleshoot issues that may arise during concrete placement, such as segregation, bleeding, or setting too quickly
- Knowledgeable with the operation of various power tools and tape measure
- Proficiency in operating machinery and equipment used in concrete work, such as concrete pumps, mixers, and finishing tools
- 2 or more years’ experience in Landscape industry or construction
- Adherence to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for themselves and others on the job site
- Able to lift more than 50 lbs.
- Able to crouch, bend, climb stairs/ladders for periods of time
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to work outdoors and in noisy areas for extended periods of time
- Able to work successfully with limited supervision
- Ability to communicate in both English and Spanish is a plus
- High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
