Program Overview:

The Weee! Internship Program is a unique platform designed to fully immerse our interns into the dynamic world of Weee!. As an intern, you'll gain insights into our culture, values, and operations. More than just providing theoretical understanding, this program aims to offer a comprehensive insight into industry standards and best practices, equipping interns with industry-relevant insights and firsthand exposure. The goal is to prepare you for the real world, bridging the gap between academic learning and actual industry experience.

About this role:

The Compensation Intern will work closely with the Director of Global Compensation to support the development and execution of compensation programs and processes at Weee!. This internship offers a valuable opportunity for an MBA/Master's program candidate or a Bachelor's degree holder with 1-2 years of general HR experience to gain hands-on experience in compensation, leveling design, people analytics, and performance management reviews within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

This full-time role is compensated at a rate of $27-35 per hour and is required to be on site in our Fremont office 40 hours a week.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in conducting job evaluations and compensation analyses in accordance with Weee!'s compensation philosophy.
  • Aid in the development and management of Weee!'s global job architecture, performance & compensation review, people analytics and other compensation programs.
  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition Team and People Business Partners to provide support in applying compensation guidelines and conducting analysis within Weee!'s compensation framework.
  • Participate in compensation survey activities and contribute to recommendations for enhancing compensation practices based on market best practices.
  • Support data review, reconciliation efforts, and Ad Hoc reporting to ensure data accuracy and generate insights.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential data with integrity and professionalism.
  • Engage in continuous learning to gain a deeper understanding of the business and how competitive compensation programs align with organizational priorities.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing or recently completed an MBA or Master's degree in Business, HR, Finance, Economics, Math, or related field preferred, or possess a Bachelor's degree with 1-2 years of HR or relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with fundamental compensation principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office Applications.
  • Ability to problem-solve and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong team player with a supportive and approachable demeanor.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Willingness to diligently follow instructions, with a proactive approach to following up on projects and seeking regular feedback.
  • Experience with HRIS tools, particularly ADP WorkforceNow, is advantageous.
