Radius Aerospace– Hot Springs is a leading manufacturer of sheet metal parts and assemblies used in the aviation industry. We utilize a wide range of metal forming techniques and special manufacturing processes, servicing the commercial, military, regional jet, helicopter, and general aviation markets.

Position Summary

Uses predetermined methods, operations, setups, and prescribed specifications to inspect visually in-process and completed electronic units and subsystems, precision electromechanical assemblies, or mechanical units and subassemblies. Uses various measuring devices. Accepts, rejects, or reworks defective or malfunctioning units or systems. Works from blueprints, diagrams, customer specifications, drawing or inspection instructions and checklists. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

Position Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Aerospace manufacturing, repair or modifications environment
• Comprehensive knowledge in Blue Print reading, Precision measurements and Applied math
• Experienced in reading aerospace blue prints and using precision measuring instruments
• Working knowledge of aircraft/structural assembly processes
• Understanding of FAI and general Inspection procedures preferred
• Proficient with researching, interpreting, and applying customer specifications & work instructions or procedures
• Computer skills necessary to learn/operate word processing, Excel spreadsheets, email and web-based applications.
• Basic knowledge of Work Health & Safety as they apply to a work safe environment
• Verbal and interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships
• Preferred knowledge in 5S/Lean principles

Additional requirements:

• Ability to successfully pass all required QA inspector proficiency exams

• Strong organization and planning skills
• Demonstrated concern for safety regarding the potential injury to their fellow workers and themselves and towards safety in regard to damage to machinery, equipment, or material.
• History of displayed work ethics, punctuality and overall reliability
• O/T and shift flexibility
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Other Duties as assigned.
