Part time Medical assistant Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday

Schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays (8am-5pm)

*Candidate should be reliable, punctual, dependable, have a strong work ethic, work well with other team members, and be able to work independently and without direct supervision. Should be able to reliably commute to White Bridge Road Nashville, TN 37205.

Duties to include but not limited to:

• Rooming patients
• Obtaining medical history and entering information into the patients electronic medical record
• Answering patient calls/returning messages
• Schedule appointments as needed
• Calling in prescriptions/sending electronic prescriptions
• Assisting in sterile procedures
• Autoclave instruments
• Unpacking medical supplies and stocking rooms
• Ensure cleanliness of patient rooms
• Ensure patients receive proper educational material related to their diagnosis
• Send referrals to other physicians/therapy centers as directed
• Send orders for imaging and promptly follow up once test has been completed

Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required

-Completion of a medical assistant program preferred but not required
- Previous experience working as a medical assistant or in a similar role is a plus
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and other staff members
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording patient information
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient records and sensitive information
