Position Overview

Reporting to the Superintendent, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Field Superintendent to oversee multifamily construction projects from start to finish. The Field Superintendent will be responsible for coordinating all on-site activities, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality.

Responsibilities

• Construction Management:
  • Oversee all aspects of construction projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.
  • Coordinate with owners, project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely completion of project milestones.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all on-site personnel.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Team Leadership:
  • Lead and motivate on-site construction teams, including Capstone Building team members and subcontractors, to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Provide guidance and direction to ensure that work is completed according to project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  • Cultivate and sustain relationships with owners, architects, engineers, inspection officials, and members of the local community.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, communication, and accountability among team members to promote efficiency and productivity.
• Communication and Reporting:

• • Serve as the primary point of contact for communication between the project team, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare and distribute regular progress reports, including project schedules, budget updates, and issue resolution plans.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, superintendents, and other key personnel to address project-related concerns and maintain alignment with overall project objectives.
• Quality Assurance:

• • Implement quality assurance processes to ensure that workmanship and materials meet or exceed industry standards and client expectations.
  • Conduct inspections and quality control checks at various stages of construction to identify deficiencies and ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Collaborate with project managers and subcontractors to develop and implement corrective action plans to address any quality issues that arise during construction.
  • Manage and ensure proper implementation and compliance with all Capstone Building Corp. policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (preferred).
• Previous experience in multifamily construction, with a proven track record of successfully managing projects of similar scope and complexity.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others to achieve common goals.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and materials, with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Proficiency in construction management software and tools (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project) for scheduling, budgeting, and project documentation.
• OSHA 30-hour certification (preferred).
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
