As the Operations Manager, you will be leading a Team of technicians with backgrounds in a variety of disciplines - licensed, certified, and organically developed talent. Operating in a rapid-paced, high-accountability environment, your cross-functional collaboration with internal and external customers and vendors within the value chain will be integral to the success of our valued customers and The Solar Store's growth. A fast-growing sustainable energy solutions provider, The Solar Store assesses, designs, and installs customized solutions that help customers realize their vision for green energy.

You have an operations and lean background with a proven ability to achieve continuous improvement and scale. You are a problem solver and take initiative because you want to make an impact with those you lead and from a broader environmental impact perspective. Creating systems, processes and procedures that help companies scare are second nature to you. You thrive in quickly evolving conditions and you are energized by leading Teams and working on myriad strategic initiatives, tasks, customers, and deliverables. Essential Functions:

1.) Lead, develop and train Project Teams and Team Members to improve business practices, systems, and processes to achieve customer's desired results and increase revenue and profitability for The Solar Store.

2.) Create and execute Project Plans to ensure metrics and goals are achieved.

3.) Improve scalability and customer experience - both internal and external

4.) Strong ability to collaborate with the entire Team - managing up, down and across

5.) Proficient communication skills - verbal and written.

Competencies:

1.) Develop, train and implement systems, processes and procedures for continued sustainable growth

2.) Level load customer pipeline and equip Team's ability to lead multiple crews in various disciplines

3.) Advanced problem-solving resolution abilities with the capacity to present complex information

4.) Strategic planning, goal setting and metric achievement

5.) Experience leading Teams and proven ability to improve performance of Teams and customers.

6.) Experience/working knowledge of software integration and expansion of CRM portals.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position could have up to 4 reporting resources.

Work Environment:

This position operates in a professional office environment and in the field. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by The Operations Manager to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing duties of this position, the Operations Manager is frequently required to talk to or listen to fellow Team Members and customers. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Expected Hours of Work:

Monday through Friday with an estimated total of 40 hours per week. Schedule may fluctuate based on business and customer needs.

Travel:

Limited travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience:

  • BS in technology or engineering with 5 years' experience.
  • MS in technology or engineering with 5 years' experience.
  • MBA with 3 years technological or engineering job experience.
  • Working experience with building and solar technology.
  • Experience with growing companies and managing multiple goals.
  • Experience running a sales organization.
  • 5-7 years of Management Experience.
  • Project Management skills.
