Accounts Receivable Clerk

Jacob Family Enterprises, Inc. is a family-owned company in business since 1977. The Jacob Family of businesses comprises of Jacob Sunrooms, Exteriors & Baths, Chesley Fence & Deck & Chesley Commercial Fence & Rail. We want to add an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to our growing accounting team. The chosen candidate must demonstrate their ability to multi-task during the day while being extremely detail-oriented. Job Responsibilities:

Creates invoices according to company practices; submits invoices to clients.
Prepares, posts, verifies, and records client payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
Mailing the client the Paid in full invoice, warranty, and lien waiver.
Job costing/closeouts which includes making sure all payroll and materials have been posted to the job and scanning the final packet in our database.
Creates reports regarding the current status of client accounts.
Research client discrepancies and past-due amounts with the assistance of the manager and other staff members. Oversee and assist A/R collection efforts.
Copies, files, and retrieves materials for accounts receivables as needed.
Relays changes of information to appropriate employees.
Able to navigate financing accounts and Accounts Receivable data entry functions.
Prepare, make, and monitor daily deposits received from Pay Now and digital check machine.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High school diploma.
Associate degree in accounting, business, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience (preferred, but not required.)
QuickBooks experience (preferred, but not required.)
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial software programs.
Must be highly organized, a self-starter, detail-oriented, maintain accuracy, and self-check work.
Must be accountable for escalating issues promptly, learning and applying knowledge quickly, and meeting deadlines.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
Professional verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills.
Must have a good work ethic and integrity, be dependable, adaptable, cooperative, and motivated to take on new responsibilities.

Hours: 8 am – 5 pm (Monday - Friday)
Location: Fairview Heights, IL
Pay: COMPETITIVE PAY BASED ON EXPERIENCE $18.00 - $21.00 per hour.
