Haag, a leader in forensic engineering and consulting since 1924, is seeking a Staff Accountant for the Flower Mound office. This is a hybrid role working 3 days in the office and 2 days remotely each week.

SIGNIFICANT JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Daily operations shall include but are not limited to the following:
- Assist with external and internal corporate audit and valuation efforts
- Ensure accounting records and systems are in balance and properly closed on monthly, quarterly, and annual basis; prepare general ledger account reconciliations as assigned
- Create management reports; perform scheduled, regular and ad hoc analyses, as assigned or requested
- Create depreciation schedules and maintain fixed assets
- Assist with monthly close, including journal entries and allocations
- Team back-up for cash receipts application
- Other projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited college or university is required
- 2 years of accounting experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Highly self-motivated individual who works independently with little instruction or supervision
- Intermediate to advanced skill level in the Microsoft Suite of products, with a high focus on Excel skills (i.e.: Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP’s, related analytics, etc.)
- Some knowledge of data analytics or report creation preferred
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) principles
- Professional demeanor; great communicator with a team-success focus
- Organized and detail oriented

Primary environment: ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment.
