Position Summary
We are seeking a talented Benefits Specialist to join our HR team. You will be a key member of the Total Rewards team focused on delivering an exceptional employee experience. The ideal candidate will be an organized self-starter with great customer service and analytical skills.


As our Benefits Specialist you will be the key point of contact for benefits education and administration. You will provide excellent customer service, be a resource for our employees and ensure compliance with all required regulations. If you get satisfaction in helping an employee navigate a leave process, welcoming a new addition to their family or unraveling a complicated benefit issue, this could be the role for you!


 
Responsibilities

  • Subject matter expert on Kendo benefit policies and programs for the US and Canada
  • Serve as primary contact for employee benefits related questions. Provide feedback to manager on employee questions and areas that may need additional training or re-communication.
  • Document and maintain procedures for assigned benefits processes and proactively identify process improvements to reduce cost, mitigate risk, or improve efficiency
  • Assist with core HR Benefits processes, such as new hire orientation, annual open enrollment
  • Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations, timeliness and accuracy of required reporting and fees
  • Manage employee active LOA’s of varying types and complexities to ensure they are being handled according to policy and procedures as well as in accordance with state & federal legislation.
  • Educate employees and managers on the LOA, Worker’s Compensation and/or ADA accommodation process and act as a contact to the employee and HRBPs
  • Perform enrollment audits by preparing, collecting, and organizing data.
  • Works closely with Payroll Manager to ensure benefits deductions are accurate for payroll processing. Collaborate as needed to problem solve other benefits issues related to payroll (PTO, WFH stipend)
  • Experience with data file transfers to and/or from various vendors.
  • Coordinate wellness initiatives such as administering on-site flu shots and educational sessions


Qualifications

  • 4+ years of related benefits experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high level customer service to employees.
  • Global benefits experience, especially Canadian benefits is a plus, but not required
  • Highly organized with keen attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Working knowledge of ERISA governed plans, COBRA, HIPAA, ACA, FSA, and HSA plans
