Cloud Network Security Analyst

Job Description:

As a Cloud Network Security Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and enhancing the security of our cloud-based networks and systems. You will work closely with our security and operations teams to implement and maintain effective security controls, policies, and procedures. Key responsibilities include:

• Monitoring network traffic and security alerts to detect and respond to potential security incidents, intrusions, and vulnerabilities.
• Conducting regular security assessments and audits of cloud infrastructure, identifying gaps and recommending remediation measures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Configuring and managing security tools and technologies in the cloud environment, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), web application firewalls (WAF), and SIEM solutions.
• Collaborating with cloud architects and engineers to design and implement secure network architectures and configurations, considering factors such as data protection, access control, and resilience.
• Developing and maintaining security documentation, including network diagrams, security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Participating in incident response activities, including investigation, analysis, and documentation of security breaches, and assisting in remediation efforts.
• Keeping abreast of emerging threats and security trends in cloud computing, and proactively recommending enhancements to our security posture.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols, with hands-on experience in cloud networking technologies such as VPC, VPN, ACLs, and security groups.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and familiarity with cloud security services and controls.
• Knowledge of common security frameworks and standards, such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS Benchmarks.
• Proficiency in security tools and technologies, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, WAF, and vulnerability scanning tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex security issues and recommend effective solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCSP, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, CISSP) are a plus.
