Pay Range: $18.13 - $29.63

Role:

The Community Coordinator oversees the program activities and polices regarding participant involvement, and program requirements for the Boys & Girls Club (BGC). They will work with a variety of stakeholders to identify community needs, develop plans to address those needs, and implement programs that will make the community a better place to live.

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all minimum requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Minimum Requirements:

Driving: Must have a valid Kansas driver's license free of occupational restrictions within 90 days of hire. Must be insurable with the Nation's insurance carrier.

Experience: One to two years of similar or related experience.

Education: High School Diploma/GED
  • Must obtain Food Handlers certification within 2 weeks of hire.
  • Must obtain Spillet University online BGCA Basic certification & Mentoring in Indian Country certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Must obtain First Aid, CPR, & Lifeguard certifications within 90 days of hire.
  • Must obtain Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification within 1 year of hire.

Interpersonal Skills: The ability to motivate or influence others is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the job and a high level of interpersonal skills is critical to the success of this position. Work frequently involves contacts requiring considerable discussion of problems, material presentations, and resolving issues impacting departments or divisions.

Knowledge:
  • Administrative: Knowledge of clerical procedures and systems such as phone systems, copies, scanners, printers, Microsoft Office programs, internet navigation including social media and content management, email, managing files and records, and workplace terminology.
  • English Grammar: Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar, with the ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
  • Customer and Personal Service: Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
