As part of our growth, we are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Healthcare Sales Professional with the ability to coordinate surgeries. 
 

Job Overview: Busy Ophthalmologists practice seeks a Surgical Coordinator for scheduling surgeries at local facilities. Looking for someone to join us for a long term career opportunity and participate in Sales. 

• Schedule patients and provide information about practice and procedures. 
• Candidate must be able to sale healthcare products,  verify insurances, obtain authorizations and have knowledge of medical terminology. 
• Communicates with patients regarding potential co-pays, co-insurance, payments due, and deductibles prior to scheduled procedure 
• Communicate with patient’s PCP to ensure follow-through with referrals and obtain medical clearances for surgery 
• Meet with patients to explain treatment options, treatment costs, insurance coverage, patient financial responsibility 
• Candidate needs to have excellent telephone answering skills, be courteous and helpful. Excellent grammar is a must. 
• Able to create a strong rapport with physicians within our practice to effectively facilitate their needs. 
• Communicates pre-operative and post-operative instructions to patients. 
• Position will also be responsible for answering patients' questions along with other tasks. 
• Must be bilingual in Fluent Spanish and English both reading and writing. 
• Experience is preferred but willing to train the right person.  
• Sales experience is a must

Physical Demands: The physical demands of the position are typical of those found in a traditional office environment. Employees will need to be mobile and move quickly throughout the office. They will need to be able to type and data enter information info computer systems. Employee will need to be able to alternate between sitting and standing at a desk for 8 to 9 hours in a typical workday.
