Adjunct Faculty – Undergraduate General Education

Albizu University is seeking qualified applicants for several adjunct faculty positions to teach various courses in the undergraduate general education curriculum, such as Biological Sciences, College Algebra, American History and Humanities.

Responsibilities

1. Prepares course syllabi and materials, including lectures and exams.
2. Submits student grades to the Registrar’s Office by deadline.
3. Performs student advisement.
4. Participates in accreditation process.
5. Monitors students needing remediation.
6. Participates in faculty meetings.
7. Conducts mid-term and final student evaluations twice a term.
8. Submits required academic reports and forms, in a timely and accurate manner.
9. Participates in institutional or campus meetings and trainings, as appropriate.

Required Qualifications:

Doctoral degree (Ph.D., or Ed.D.,) in the relevant discipline is preferred. A Master’s degree with significant teaching experience will be considered. Online teaching experience is preferred.
