Underwriting Assistant - Remote

Position/Title : Underwriting Assistant-Remote

K2 Professional division-Lawyers, Aegis General insurance Agency, Inc, wholly owned by K2 Insurance Services, LLC (“K2”), is seeking a full-time Underwriting Assistant. This is a remote position.

In this role as an Underwriting Assistant, you will:

• Clear and process new submissions.
• Clear, process and set up Lawyer renewals for Underwriters.
• Set up Pricing tool for each new business submission.
• Decline to the broker new submissions that fall outside of our underwriting appetite.
• Issue policies once approved by the Underwriter.
• Assist business unit leader processing new producer appointments.
• Track /maintain approved producer information library.
• Handle BOR process and update IMS with updated broker.
• Trouble shoot IMS issues.
• Assist with follow up efforts on accounting issues- primarily on late payments.
• Assist Operations Specialist with development and maintenance of production reports for Lawyers and new programs.

• Is familiar with Computer systems and is detail oriented.
• Is looking to change career focus into Insurance, wants to advance, and is eager to learn underwriting.
• Is open to being Mentored- Insurance designation courses will be provided.

Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree required.
• Insurance experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and is well organized.

Pay range: 24.04-36.06 USD hourly
