Job Description: We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Materials Planner to join our team. The Materials Planner will play a crucial role in optimizing inventory levels, ensuring timely availability of materials, and maintaining efficient production schedules.

Responsibilities:

· Develop and implement material planning strategies to support production schedules and meet customer demand.

· Analyze demand forecasts, sales orders, and inventory levels to determine optimal inventory targets.

· Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any supply chain issues.

· Monitor inventory levels and implement appropriate replenishment strategies to prevent stockouts or excess inventory.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, procurement, and logistics to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

· Utilize ERP systems (MRP) (SAP) and other planning tools to maintain accurate inventory records and generate reports for analysis.

· Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the materials management function.

· Work with sister and third-party companies to plan and meet order requirements.

· Resolve supplier concerns and evaluate supplier performance in conjunction with members of the Global Supply Team.

· Resolve problems within the accounts payable and receivable department related to purchase orders, invoicing, and pricing.

· Other duties as required.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.

· Proven experience in materials planning, inventory management, or supply chain management.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

· Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP) (MRP) and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

· Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

· Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.

· Certification in APICS (e.g., CPIM) or related fields is desirable.
