Since 1972, Therapeutic Health Services (THS) has provided evidence-based, culturally appropriate and compassionate behavioral health treatment, programs and services for children, youth, and families with substance use and mental health disorders. We are on the frontlines:

We are hiring for Childcare Assistant to join our Everett team. As Childcare Assistant you will play a vital role in meeting the increasing demand for behavioral health services in our Puget Sound region. The pay for this position is $20.00 an hour.


Requirements:
  • Provide childcare for children aged 1-12 years old.
  • Ensure children are signed in and out in accordance with THS childcare policies.
  • Assist the Childcare Supervisor in maintaining an attractive, clean, and safe childcare environment.
  • Develop and lead engaging childcare activities tailored to the individual needs of the children present.
  • Create and maintain incident reports as necessary per THS childcare policies.
  • Attend all required meetings, workshops, and retreats.
  • Punctuality is essential in this role.
  • Perform other assigned tasks as needed.
  • Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • One year of relevant work experience; some experience in social or early childhood development is preferred.
  • Self-motivated, compassionate, energetic, and capable of maintaining clear and healthy boundaries with clients, families, and staff.
  • Demonstrated experience in facilitating activities for children of all ages.
  • Understanding of early child development principles, with the ability to create a safe environment and interact with children and their parents warmly and respectfully.
  • Ability to demonstrate compassion and empathy, working effectively with families and children from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proficiency in de-escalating communication issues as they arise.
  • Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule as required.
  • Completion of CPR and First Aid Certifications within the specified timeframe by THS.
  • Possession of or ability to obtain HIV/AIDS, First Aid, and CPR training within 60 days of employment.
