Position Summary

The Staff Accountant will be joining Snap Kitchen’s rapidly growing accounting team. This position reports to the accounting manager and is responsible for preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and assist in financial analysis and support financial statement preparation for key stakeholders. The Staff Accountant will have the opportunity to help improve and develop processes as the Company grows. We work in an open environment where we strive to collaborate across departments and work together as a team.

What you will do…

• Help complete the period-end close process thoroughly, accurately, and on-time.

• Own accounting daily, weekly, and monthly processes, journal entries and assigned balance sheet accounts reconciliations.
• Work with the team to implement on going improvements to the business through automation and streamlining of procedures.
• Work with outside resources to help enhance the AP system and API tool.
• Help develop and implement best-practice accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes.
• Manage the accounts payable process, complete credit applications, review imported records from SAP Concur to ensure coding accuracy.
• Help explain variances to budget and trend financial reports.
• Assist in the completion of the fiscal year-end external audit as well as state and local audits.
• Other projects and tasks as assigned.

Who you are…

• Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance.
• 1 - 3 years financial accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains, QuickBooks Enterprise or similar general ledger system, SAP Concur and CashPro.
• Rock star self-starter who is hungry to dig in, learn and achieve goals.
• Must have excellent attention to detail.
• Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment with ability to learn quickly and meet deadlines.
• Strong MS Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, sumifs).
• Must be comfortable working in an open environment and collaborating across departments.
• Must be able to work flexible hours as needed.
• Maintain high standards of ethics, integrity, and honesty.
