What you’ll do…

We are looking to hire a detailed-oriented, driven, and resourceful Microgrid Mechanical Technician to assume responsibilities for multiple Microgrid generators. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of performing maintenance on power generation equipment with operations experience as a plus. The Microgrid Mechanical Technician will coordinate with the Network Operations Center (NOC) to ensure Enchanted Rock can meet customer requirements for on demand electricity. Operations for this position are in Texas around Austin, Killeen and Waco.

You’ll make an impact by:

Perform skilled repairs of Volvo Penta Diesel Engines (16 L), Power Solutions International (21.9 L) and Marathon generator ends, as well as various voltage control and synchronizing equipment.
Be proficient at learning and utilizing manufacturer specific software to troubleshoot and diagnose engine and control system problems.
Facilitate technical support and liaison with equipment manufacturers.
Perform scheduled, preventive, or predictive generator maintenance tasks.
Perform troubleshooting and repair tasks.
Perform periodic inspections to identify maintenance needs.
Work in potentially confined areas of high heat and humidity, and cold.
Follow company process and procedures for verbal/written communications.
Utilize all current technology for communication, documentation, and research.
Ensure Safe Operation of electrical equipment by enforcing company and industry standards.
Driving is an essential job task and as such drivers must have appropriate skills, qualifications and always exhibit safe driving behaviors.
Additional responsibilities may be added at the direction of Company’s management

You’ll sweep us off our feet if you:

Education Level – preferred College or Equivalent Training (i.e. Military)

What you’ll need:

Experience – at least 3 Years Mechanical and/or Electrical
Driving required – Must possess valid driver’s license
Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently to transport materials, equipment, or personnel to designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
Successfully pass Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check to ensure compliance with company standards and safe driving practices.
