Position Summary

A Senior CAD Designer or Technician at VS Engineering will be an individual experienced in the use of CAD Civil 3D for civil site projects. Work includes design on exciting and complex projects with a variety of engineers, project managers, and technical staff.Are you a CAD Designer seeking a variety of impactful projects to further your career? Our Indianapolis Office is the main headquarters for VS Engineering and our largest Transportation, Water Resources and Structural teams. Our local staff includes a wide variety of experience levels with expertise in city, county, and DOT roadway and streetscapes and public work projects for local cities, counties, and the State.

A Typical Day May Include

• Working closely with project managers and project teams
• Completing CAD Civil 3D designs for various projects as needed
• Taking engineering designs and producing a full set of contract plans including layout, plan and profile, general plan, maintenance of traffic, and site grading
• Working with the design team to support the development of project design documents including quantity calculations, erosion control plans, etc.
• Learning, following and helping to improve VS Engineering CAD standards.
• Driving successful project schedules, budgets and communication

Requirements:

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years relevant work experience
• Technical knowledge / computer skills:
  • Microsoft Office products: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
  • Adobe (preferred)
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation
