Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Electrical Design Engineer to join our team immediately. The ideal candidate will have 1-5 years of experience in electrical design, with a strong educational background in engineering. While a PE license is not required, candidates should be on track towards obtaining licensure in the future. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects, with a particular focus on larger scale multi-family developments that prioritize energy efficiency and all-electric solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project teams to develop electrical design solutions for commercial projects, including multi-family residences, hospitality venues, restaurants, breweries, wineries, retail spaces, offices, event spaces, and building upgrades/conversions.
- Conduct electrical load calculations, power distribution design, lighting design, and system layouts in accordance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Assist in the preparation of technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
- Perform site visits and field investigations to assess existing conditions and ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, codes, and regulations related to electrical engineering and sustainable design practices.
- Communicate effectively with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 1-5 years of experience in electrical design, preferably in the commercial sector.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other design software.
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
