Summary of Responsibilities
The Rig Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing mechanical, electrical, air systems and hydraulic components of drill rigs. Utilize all facets of their technical background to support the majority of components on Tristate Drilling equipment.
Primary Responsibilities (Not listed in relation to their priority)
1. Utilize technical material to troubleshoot and look up parts for multiple Drilling Rig components
2. Ability to order drill tooling (rods, hammer, casing, crossovers, etc.) according to specific job requirements.
3. Maintenance and upkeep of all drill rig components, Mud Pumps, Iron Roughnecks, Engines (Caterpillar and Detroit)
4. Maintenance, upkeep and record tracking of all mechanical, electrical and hydraulic equipment with minimal support.
5. Repair, maintain, record keeping of service work on vehicles for DOT purposes.
Experience Requirements
· Minimum of 5-year related experience.
Education Requirements
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Special Requirements
· 18 years or older
· Valid Driver's License
· Average Shift: 8-hour work days
Travel Requirements
Travel to rig/site location as required.
