JOB SUMMARY:
A Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides 1:1 behavioral intervention service to children with special needs and support to their families. RBTs are responsible for implementing Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) based programs as directed by the Board-Certified Behavior Analyst.
This is performed by physician orders and plan of care under the direction and supervision of the Director of Nursing/Nursing Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
High School Diploma, or GED
Required Credentials:
Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) or desire to work toward receiving your RBT certification with guidance provided by a supervising entity and complete a BACB-approved RBT course and exam.
All employees must pass a background screening and drug test for employment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain current registration to the BACB.
Assist the BCBA in implementing behavioral programming in a 1:1 setting.
Collect data on all programming and write progress notes.
Advise and consult with the family and other agency personnel.
Participate in in-service programs and present in-service programs as assigned.
Understand and adhere to established policies and procedures.
Participate with all other health care personnel in patient care planning.
With the BCBA, instruct patients and family/significant others in-home programs and protocols.
Attend all staff meetings and patient care conferences as scheduled.
Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
Instruction to patient/family in-home program with documentation in medical record notes.
Observe confidentiality and safeguard all patient-related information.
Immediately report to BCBA/ Therapy Supervisor any patient incidents/variances or complaints.
Maintain current CPR certification.
Work Week - Monday - Friday; 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Guarantee work week 30 hours 1-2 established locations
