Nuclear Medicine - PET Technologist Location: Tucson, AZ

Nuclear Medicine - PET Technologist Compensation: $34.00 - $51.00 p/hr - based on licensure certifications and experience

Nuclear Medicine - PET Technologist Hours:

• M-F 8am - 5pm

What does the Nuclear Medicine - PET Technologist do?

Under limited supervision, performs PET imaging procedures and related functions. Collaborates with Medical Director and management on technical issues, equipment performance and QA.

Nuclear Medicine - PET Technologist Responsibilities:

• Performs PET scan procedures to include injection of radiopharmaceutical, setup of protocol, reconstruction and development of images, coordination of image on report function and archiving of images.
• Schedules procedures and related front office functions to ensure smooth workflow.
• Ensures accuracy of patient demographic information, report distribution and patient files.
• Collects clinical data for patient follow-up and development of teaching and educational information.

Nuclear Medicine - PET Technologist Qualifications/Requirements:

• Associates or Bachelors degree in Biology or nuclear medicine technology from an AMA accredited program.
• Minimum three (3) years experience in nuclear medicine, including two years of previous PET experience. CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist) and/or ARRT (N) certification and state licensure where applicable.
• Advanced IV Skills a must.
• Prefer experience with GE Discovery model.
• High School Diploma or GED required
