The Role


This job description is an overview of the roles and responsibilities of the Warehouse Associate who will be a part of the local Warehouse and the broader Supply Chain team at Turf Tank. This team member will report to the Warehouse Supervisor and will be an essential contributor to the success of our company’s supply chain network. The success of this role will have a profound impact on our customer experience and assist the efficiency of our managers.


Overview


The Warehouse Associate is a full-time position whose primary responsibility is performing the daily functions surrounding inbound and outbound warehouse processes.  The role will be crucial in ensuring that all of Turf Tank’s products (robots, paint, spare parts, etc.) are processed and distributed accurately and urgently. Warehouse functions such as receiving, picking, packing, and inventory management will all be necessary duties.  This team member will work closely with other warehouse team members and neighboring departments, ensuring the accurate fulfillment of customer orders.    


While this role will spend the majority of time in the warehouse, this team member needs to be comfortable communicating and collaborating across a wide spectrum of roles and departments to move the Turf Tank mission forward. 


Duties and Responsibilities


Inbound/Receiving 

  • receive inbound freight and provide an accurate count within two (2) hours of receiving the product, complete with all necessary documents
  • stock all received products in proper warehouse bin locations 
  • organize all returned products to keep them separate from new inventory and shed inventory
  • break down paint pallets into stock customer quantities to be racked and properly put away
  • communicate with warehouse leadership and Shed team on returned products to ensure RMAs get processed through testing and provide a timely inventory disposition


Order Processing 

  • process orders submitted via the WMS and ERP systems 
  • use all tools provided to ensure proper boxing, packaging, and shipping of orders
  • safely operate a pallet jack and forklift to stock and pull products efficiently
  • stage robot & paint orders based on package designation
  • work closely with warehouse leadership to accomplish daily priorities & objectives
  • follow all safety protocols at all times
  • communicate with transportation partners and carriers for pick-up scheduling


Inventory Management

  • assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels in the warehouse through weekly, monthly, and quarterly counts following team KPIs
  • report any warehouse inventory discrepancies to leadership and provide support through discrepancy research and reconciliation
  • maintain strict protocols for the movement of demo inventory, spare part refurbished inventory, and non-inventory transactions in collaboration with the Shed
  • may be asked to assist the Shed team with hands-on, mechanical troubleshooting of robot issues in the Shed for quality assurance


Communication 

  • maintain consistent communication with leadership, sales reps, field ops reps, and customers with various product issues & updates
  • meet one-on-one with leadership to discuss personal goals, growth, strategy, progress, metrics, etc.  
  • attend necessary team meetings to collaborate and receive operations updates, training, strategy updates, etc. 


Qualifications


The Warehouse Associate must…

  • currently have or obtain a forklift certification
  • hold a valid driver’s license
  • have high attention to detail
  • be able to work independently
  • have excellent attendance and punctuality (fully on-site)
  • be comfortable with using various computer programs
  • have a general knowledge of warehouse-related safety guidelines
  • have 2-3 years of recent forklift and warehouse experience


Physical requirements for the Warehouse Associate:

  • able to consistently lift 60 lbs throughout the shift
  • able to stand for the entire shift
  • able to work while stooping, squatting, and bending
