THE GIST:
We are is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Platform Administrator to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and administration of the systems and platforms comprising our e-commerce solution. This includes comprehensive e-commerce platforms (e.g. Shopify, BigCommerce), promotion and offer management systems (e.g. Sparkfly, Voucherify), and tax and payment systems (e.g. Avalara, Vertex). This role is crucial for ensuring the stability and reliability of our e-commerce operations, which directly impacts our customer satisfaction and business success.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administer, monitor, and manage the e-commerce platforms and systems ensuring high availability and performance.
Coordinate with the product and developments teams to configure, update, and integrate new products and features into our e-commerce solution.
Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes.
Analyze platform data to optimize performance, identify issues, and suggest improvements.
Ensure system security by enforcing policies, monitoring access, and protecting information from unauthorized access.
Work closely with vendors and third-party service providers to ensure seamless service delivery.
Assist in training staff and stakeholders on platform usage and best practices.
Maintain a working knowledge of emerging e-commerce technologies and trends
Set up and manage backup and recovery procedures to safeguard content and configurations in case of data loss or system failures.
User Support: Provide support to content authors and developers, helping them with any technical issues or questions related to AEM.
Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Continuously monitor the AEM platform for performance issues and troubleshoot any problems that arise.
Patch and Update Management: Keep platforms up to date by applying patches and updates as needed to address security vulnerabilities and improve functionality.
Ensure e-commerce platforms comply with relevant industry standards and regulations, e.g. PCI, GDRP, CCPA, etc.
Adjust and plan for future growth and scalability, making sure that the infrastructure can accommodate increasing demands
Track applicable licenses, service agreements, contract renewals, invoices etc. to ensure uninterrupted operation of the platforms
QUALIFICATIONS:
3+ years experience with platform and/or system administration including:
user management and permissions
performance monitoring and troubleshooting
security patching and updates
data backup and restore
1+ years of experience with a major e-commerce platform such as Shopify, BigCommerce, Adobe Commerce/Magento
Experience administrating a platform as part of integrated headless (i.e. API-based) solution a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
