Job Summary:
The Material Handler will perform an array of functions that may include pulling raw material from the Warehouse, keeping the department stocked with sheet metal for the punching machines, organizing pallets throughout the department, responsible for disposing of scrap metal and overall housekeeping.

The Material Handler will perform an array of functions that may include pulling raw material from the Warehouse, keeping the department stocked with sheet metal for the punching machines, organizing pallets throughout the department, responsible for disposing of scrap metal and overall housekeeping.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist in keeping all machines running and stocked
- Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials.
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards
- Ensure excess material is returned to Warehouse.
- Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed. May also assist in counting of physical inventory
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat; Sweep, dust and mop. Organize department and work area for orderliness at all times
- Operates Forklift.
- Wear the proper safety equipment
- Understands and follows Job Safety Analysis for this position.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to remain organized.
- Basic understanding of records, inventories, and other routine documentation used in the department.
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1-2 yrs previous warehouse experience preferred
- Good communication, organizational, time management mathematical skills
- Dependable and Reliable
- Inventory, Equipment maintenance, data entry and computer skills may be required
