Facilities Maintenance Technician II

POSITION SUMMARY

Perform and assist with a variety of basic to intermediate maintenance tasks for the facility including but not limited to production and office areas. Duties may include general cleaning and fabrication.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform routine to intermediate on machinery, hydraulic equipment, mechanical equipment including but not limited to inspecting belts, checking fluid levels, cleaning sump tanks and/or replacing filters.
• Perform various preventative maintenance which may include HVAC, insulation, carpentry, installing, aligning and/or balancing equipment, repairing buildings, and/or floors.
• Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
• Adjust functional parts of devices or control instruments.
• Perform general cleaning of facilities, including internal and external.
• May fabricate or repair common areas and workspaces.
• May monitor and assist vendors and contractors on site.
• Perform routine tasks such as painting, wall repair, plumbing, and light electrical.
• Assist with office moves, renovations, stocking supplies and other similar tasks.
• Maintain clean and orderly work environment.
• Demonstrates ability to appear for work on time, follow directions from a supervisor, interact well with co-workers, understand, and follow work rules and procedures, comply with company policies and procedures, goals, and objectives, and accepts constructive feedback.
• Other duties as assigned, requested or needed.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or General Education Development (GED).
• Minimum five (5) years industrial manufacturing experience or equivalent of education and experience.
• Technical or trade school experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of standard and intermediate hand tool use.
• Ability understand and follow standard operating and safety procedures.
• Read and comprehend verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to multi-task and work independently.
• Ability to perform routine to advanced maintenance.

Pay Rate: The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type, and length of experience with the industry, education, geographic location, etc.
