Software Test Engineer - 53522

We have an immediate long-term opportunity with one of our largest clients for a position of Software Test Engineer, to work in San Jose, CA.

Pay Rate: $40 - $43/ hr on W2
$50 53/ hr on C2C

Responsibilities:

• The Software Test Engineer will follow a documented test plan and be responsible for the reporting of clear and very detailed bug reports.
• The Software Test Engineer will work with their fellow testers to ensure quality testing and bug reporting is maintained throughout the product's entire.
• testing process.

• Develop publish and implement test plans.
• Write and maintain test cases.
• Create and maintain test data.
• Clearly document and re-verify all defects.
• Document test results.
• Analyzing the requirements for multi-tier architected web-commerce applications from industry standard design documents.
• Developing high-level test design and planning documentation.
• Design, code, test, and execute test case scenarios.
• Analysis of test results leading to defect isolation and resolution.
• Support root cause analyses, reproduce issues and provide relevant logs to dev teams to speed up issues resolution.
• Ability to design, develop, and implement QA test cases.
• Ability to perform all aspects of verification, including functional, integration, structural, regression, and load and system testing.

Experience & Requirement:

• A minimum of 8 years of Software Test/QA experience.
• Working experience and good understanding of NetCracker OSS/BSS suite.
• Excellent English communication skills including both written and verbal.
• Extensive experience in System Integration testing, UAT testing, End to end testing and co-coordinating with the development team for code coverage of the application.
• Experience with manual testing, including: functional, integration, smoke, regression, and load testing.
• Experience in SQL.
• Deep understanding of testing methodologies, standard QA processes, and software release cycles.
