Role Profile: Senior ETRM Developer

The Trailstone technology team is looking for a Senior ETRM Developer to join our team!  The Trailstone technology team is small and fast-paced; you will be able to have an immediate impact and gain global exposure. You will be joining at an exciting time: the new ETRM landscape is currently being scoped, so your input will be crucial in the success of the new platform.

Our preference is to hire a candidate to be based, on a hybrid or full-time basis, in one of our offices across the US, UK, Germany or Ireland. However, we are open to applications from candidates who will work remotely from one of these countries.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop solutions internally within Endur using OpenJVS.
• Design and develop new external framework for exposing Endur Valuation and Trade Data.
• Act as SME for designing and orchestrating Trailstone's ETRM Road Map and landscape strategy across the company.
• Provide Technical Effort Estimation for projects.
• Lead in moving to modern CI/CD processes within ETRM landscape.
• Produce technical documentation for Business Analysts and Support Team.

Requirements

• A strong working background in object-oriented development.
• Demonstrable experience in a techno-functional environment. 
• Demonstrable experience with modern DevOps Principals.
• Deep working knowledge of ETL.
• Extensive knowledge of energy trading and risk management (ETRM) Front to Back business processes, including trade exchange integration, trade capture, trade valuation, confirmations, invoicing, and risk reporting. 
• Ownership and accountability demonstrated in all aspects of work.
• Ability to work both collaboratively and independently, with limited direction.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a start-up environment with less structure than many banks and large corporations.           

Technical Skills 

• Expert in building OpenJVS Plugins.
• Expert in building interfaces with Connex or OpenComponents (Java or .NET).
• Expert in building Multi-Threaded solutions.
• Expert in T-SQL (SQL Server or Oracle).
• Substantial working experience with Messaging Frameworks such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• Substantial working experience with Caching Frameworks such as Redis.
• Substantial working experience with Python.
• Strong working experience with REST APIs.
• Working experience with Cloud Technologies (Azure/AWS).
• Extensive application domain knowledge in OpenLink Endur.
• Experience in designing in house ETRMs or migrating to different ETRMs is highly desirable.
