Responsibilities:
- Interpret blueprints, sketches, or building plans to determine form dimensions and configurations.
- Construct wooden forms for concrete structures such as foundations, walls, columns, and beams.
- Measure, cut, and shape wood using hand and power tools to create accurate formwork.
- Install formwork according to specifications, ensuring proper alignment and support.
- Erect scaffolding and braces to support formwork during concrete pouring and curing.
- Collaborate with other members of the construction team to ensure projects are completed on schedule and to specifications.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a secure work environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Form Carpenter or similar role.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and construction drawings.
- Strong carpentry skills with the ability to work with precision and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of different types of formwork systems and their applications.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
