Awning Installer
- $15 to $18 Hourly
- Full-Time
We have a new client that is looking for an awning installer. This company is well known within the community and has been in business for decades. They have recently grown and are looking to add a team player to their group.
Position Summary: Under general direction this position is responsible for all aspects of the installation process, including taking field measurements, coordinating with job site personnel, delivery of product and job site supplies, and installing products to company expectations.
MUST BE COMFORTABLE WORKING AT HEIGHTS ON BOTH LADDERS AND LIFTS
MUST BE ABLE TO TRAVEL WITHIN ARKANSAS WITH THE WORK
•Follow instructions to accurately install a variety of awnings, curtains and shade solutions which may include dismantling of prior installations
•Identify correct materials, load and safely deliver to job site all necessary materials and supplies in order to install within pre-determined company schedule•Perform various tasks utilizing company equipment including vehicles, ladders, power tools, installation and cutting tools
•Inspect installation for any quality issues or defects in fabrication•Safeguard against loss of unused materials, ladders and tools•Clean up debris from installation
•Maintain lines of communication with customer, sales staff & supervisor
•Report inventory levels and installation vehicle stock to be reordered
•Help unload and store raw materials; clean and maintain storage areas
Perform routine vehicle maintenance and minor repairs when necessary
•Maintain a good driving record
•Safely operate all vehicles and promptly report any incidents/infractions
•Promote safe job practices with on-the-spot corrections and immediately report safety deficiencies to Production Manager or General Manager
•Maintain professional demeanor and appearance
•Perform assigned work to production and time standards
•Other duties as assigned by management
•Notify Management Staff of any problems regarding machine or equipment operations; confer with supervisor and other technical personnel to resolve conditions affecting operational efficiency or product quality
•Together with Production Manager, coordinate machinery and equipment maintenance and repair
•Maintain a safe, neat and clean work area
•Ensure that products are installed according to specifications and that quality standards are maintained
REQUIREMENTS
- At least one (1) year in construction
- Able to work with heights
- Must have your own reliable transportation in the form of a personal vehicle
- Need to have an open schedule. Not all work will be done between 8a-5p
- Need to be able to travel overnight
- No felonies of any kind
- Clean background for the past 10 years
- Clean driving record
- Valid Driver's License
- Drug free
- Need to be presentable at all times
- Must be able to work overtime
- Many jobs will be outdoors, must be able to work outdoors
