NDT Level III

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Inspects and audits purchased as well as internally manufactured, fabricated, and welded metal components and
assemblies.
• Review metallurgical or other certifications for received materials.
• Assess weld joint preparation.
• Interprets [customer supplied] drawings, schematic diagrams, or specs and confers with Quality Manager to
determine quality and reliability requirements if not set forth by the customers contractual requirements.
• Monitor process controls and document as required.
• Inspects and/or tests at specified stages in production process, for variety of qualities such as dimensions,
performance, and mechanical characteristics as required.
• Evaluates inspection and test data and produces standardized reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing
standards.
• Sets up and performs nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material
characteristics.
• Use all instruments and devices required to validate any and all CBM product and/or services.
• Ensure compliance with customer standards.
• Other duties may be assigned.
• Records inspections and test data as required.
• Prepares Quality Reporting Packages.
• Initiate and log OFI issues as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS :To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The
requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• Ability to read and interpret schematic drawings for manufacturing and welding processes.
• Experience in steel fabrication using AWS D1.1, with knowledge of D1.2, D1.5, and D1.6 codes.
• Hold a Valid AWS CWI certification and/or
• Qualified in nondestructive testing methods
o Visual Inspection ASNT/NDE Level I/II
o Magnetic Particle Inspection ASNT/NDE Level I/II
o Dye Penetrant Inspection ASNT/NDE Level I/II
o Ultrasonic Inspection ASNT/NDE Level I/II
• Ability to compile and write routine quality reports and correspondence.
• Demonstrated detail orientation, self-motivation skills and ability to multi-task.

Desired Skills

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Military experience, with welding and nondestructive testing practices.
• Demonstrated proficiency with equipment required for nondestructive testing.
• Previous experience working within a highly standardized environment (ex. ISO).
