Located within one of Portland's elite hospitals, this amazing specialty clinic provides healthcare options for patients managing digestive disorders. While partnering with primary care providers, this team of experts meets with referrals and utilizes their state-of-the-art clinic with the latest advancements in diagnostics and offer customized care for their patients.
Overview
As a Medical Assistant you will work closely with different providers in escorting patients to exam rooms, obtaining vitals, and reviewing any information that is deemed pertinent to the appointment. We are looking for someone who is great at collaborating with others in fast-paced work environments to maintain organization and efficiency in the office.
Responsibilities
- Prepping and sterilizing exam rooms
- Stocking supplies and equipment
- Rooming patients and gathering vitals
- Updating patient files into EMR software
- Supporting provider during patient visits and procedures
- Administering diagnostic tests and physician approved procedures
- Answering phones and making calls to follow up with patients and their families
- Complete other projects and duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
- HS Diploma or GED
- Medical Assisting degree
- Current Medical Assistant credentials (within 6 months)
- Current BLS certification
- Phlebotomy certificate preferred
- EPIC EMR software experience
- Current on required vaccination/immunization records
- Upon offer, ability to pass pre-employment background and drug test
Schedule: Monday - Friday (8:00AM - 5:00PM) per patient appointments
Compensation: $20.00 - $26.00 Hourly + Parking!
