Job Description

Job Summary: Experienced Inventory Control Specialist strongly motivated to provide help on customer purchase orders related questions. Ability to communicate with external vendors regarding customer inventory. Highly skilled in internal report analysis. Developing strategies in a fast-paced environment to resolve incurring issues that may affect the quality representation of the organization.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • Tracks customer issue resolutions.
  • Establishes and manages follow-up with various internal departments.
  • Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continues quality improvement objectives.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Follows prescribed safety regulations and complies with all Company and OSHA Safety and Health rules.
  • Works and resolves reports to include but not limited to the following:
  • Not Received Bulk Purchase Orders
  • Not Received Cross-Dock Purchase Orders
  • Inbound Unloaded Not Received
  • (Bulk) Hold Department Reports
  • Performs Audit and/or Inventory counts.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to use logic and deductive reasoning to solve problems.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Clear and concise verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Correct use of punctuation, spelling, and grammar.
  • Strong computer skills, especially MS Excel.
  • Scheduling, organization, and time management skills
  • Must be successful in working in a team environment.
  • Must be able to maintain production and meet all quotas in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently, self-manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment in extreme weather conditions.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of inventory responsibility required, preferably in warehousing or shipping operations.
  • Minimum 1-2 years previous customer service experience required.
  • Forklift operators' experience preferred.
  • RF Scanner experience preferred.


Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to access and navigate the production facility.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive motions.
