The Position
The Service Manager is tasked with client satisfaction and field execution on all service and quoted install projects. Having overall responsibility for the success of the project, the Service Manager actively manages the progress, accuracy, and execution of the Company’s work within the contract scope and consistently delivers 5-star service to our customers.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of Plumbing & HVAC technicians, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
  • Coordinate and oversee all aspects of service operations, including scheduling, dispatching, and tracking of work orders to ensure timely completion.
  • Monitor and manage the budget for the service department, including labor, materials, and equipment costs, to ensure financial targets are met.
  • Provide technical support and expertise to technicians as needed, including troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with customers to ensure their service needs are met and that their satisfaction is maintained.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and procurement, to ensure seamless operations and efficient customer service.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and developments, including changes in technology, regulations, and safety standards, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on the performance of the HVAC service department, including key metrics, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC service, including hands-on experience in installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems.
  • Strong leadership skills with proven experience in managing a team of HVAC technicians.
  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and related technologies, as well as industry regulations and safety standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, team members, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think critically and analyze situations.
