Lab Technician

Johnson Service Group (JSG) is currently looking for a Research Lab Technician with skills in sample preparation, safely handling chemicals, and experience with a variety of lab equipment in a chemical laboratory.  This is a contract opportunity with a manufacturing company in Wilmington DE. Position is 100% onsite.

Pay $33/hour

Key job responsibilities include:

• Preparation of samples, reagents and standards for analysis, following standard procedures
• XRD data acquisition and assessing basic data quality
• X-ray tomography data acquisition and assessing basic data quality
• Electron microscopy data acquisition and assessing basic data quality
• Perform routine instrument operation
• Dispose of lab waste, following a set protocol
• Cleaning and restocking lab areas as needed.

Minimum Qualifications: B.S. in chemistry, materials science, physics, or engineering or demonstration of equivalent knowledge acquired in on-the-job training

Comments/Special Instructions
Candidate with prior experience in X-ray Science or Microscopy is highly preferred.
1-3 years industrial experience is preferred. New grad with prior experience in a scientific laboratory setting is also acceptable.
